Super bantamweight prospect “Magic” Mike Plania of General Santos City will be facing Argentinian Matias Agustin Arriagada, on July 26, in Miami, Florida.
This will be another test for Plania in order to step up his ratings and prepare for bigger fights.
Plania (20W-1L-0D, 11KO), who currently spars with Cuban Olympic gold medalist Yuriorkis Gamboa, has been training hard under Cuban trainer Moro Fernandez in Miami.
The Filipino fighter is ready to rumble anytime.
“I am set to go. I have worked hard and am focused on another win to get nearer a title fight,” said Plania.
Plania thanked Sanman management and MR Promotions, which set his upcoming fight. Sanman CEO Jim Claude Manangquil wants Plania to be active and keep winning.
He said that every win for Magic Mike puts him closer to that desired title fight.
“We are looking at giving him a title shot this year depending on his performance and the opportunities that come,” said Manangquil.
Manangquil said Plania is a hard working kid and will become a champion. (PNA)
